Garba

 Garba is a form of dance that originated in Gujarat, India. It is a Gujarati folk dance celebrated in Navratri, a celebration lasting nine nights. Garba songs typically revolve around the subjects of the nine goddesses. Garba styles vary from place to place in Gujarat. Kashyap has been performing Garba in US for over a decade now.  He has performed with various prominent artists like Shri Ashit/Hema Desai and Smt. Vibha Desai. He has performed at prestigious venues in NJ, at various colleges, for Indian associations and for Indian communities in small towns in state of TN. He is really passionate about spreading the cultural and tradition of his roots. Ghazals are very close to his heart. Being fortunate to learn and listen classical music has helped him appreciate the beauty of Thumari style Ghazals made famous by legends like Ustad Gulam Ali Ji, Ustad Mehdi Hassan Ji and Pandit Hariharan Ji.
